Text Messaging Terms

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Honda of Lafayette texts customers about requests they send us on this Website, but only when they ask us to. These terms describe that program.

What we text

Texts are about the request you sent: a confirmation that we received it, answers to your questions, and follow-up about the machine, service, parts or trade-in you asked about. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.

How you opt in

Texting is always optional. Nothing on this Website requires it, and you can always choose a phone call or email instead. There are two ways to ask for texts:

  1. On a vehicle page. Under "How should we answer?", pick Text me, enter your mobile number, and check the box that reads: "Honda of Lafayette can text me the answer at this number. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Not a condition of purchase."
  2. On a service, parts, recall repair, trade-in or contact request. Check the optional box labeled Text me about this request, next to: "By checking this box, you agree to receive text messages from Honda of Lafayette about this request at the number you gave. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase."

The boxes start unchecked, and each one links to these Text Messaging Terms and our Privacy Statement. We record your consent with your request. Right after you opt in, we send one confirmation text that repeats how to get help or stop.

How often

Message frequency varies with your request; most conversations are a few messages. We send texts only between 8 AM and 9 PM Central time.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Stop or get help

Reply STOP at any time to stop texts. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no more after that. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (337) 234-6632.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. See our Privacy Statement and Terms & Conditions.
